I was helping my mom to clean my parents' house last weekend when I found this painting - my early days painting when I was in junior high. I duplicated it from my favorite book, a compilation timeless story tells by HC Andersen, classic...
The story related to the picture was about the ugly duckling, a homely little bird born in a barnyard who suffers abuse from his neighbors until, much to his delight (and to the surprise of others), he matures into a graceful swan, the most beautiful bird of all. A simple yet lovely tale about personal transformation for the better - somehow taught me never underestimate people around you...
Unfortunately I could only find one painting amongst several that I did that afternoon after school, 25 years ago... well approximately... and not lucky enough to find the book

What a lovely painting and the story with it was touching. It's hard going through the things from the past, especially when a loved one has died. The portrait of your parents is beautiful, they are a attractive couple! What a sweet love story. Blessings and prayers still for you and your mom...hang in there! :)
well, apparently u have got what it takes to be an artist, big time! keep doing what u love most even if nobody recognize it at the moment but probably tomorrow, the day after tomorrow or only God knows when all those hard work will pay off. btw, i simply love your blog. i'm such a noob in blogging. i'd appreciate it if u'd teach me how to be a blogger like u.
That is very lovely.I could not think of any painting done by a kid,25 years ago, that is as beautiful as that, honestly.
thru out my life, i guess i ve seen lots of ugly ducklings. :)
One thing i am sure, you are a beautiful swan yourself (dont get me wrong, i am not saying your were an ugly duckling :) )
