Balinese dance
Thursday, 23 October 2008 Labels: balinese dance, dancer 24 commentsMy new friend at work, 'Ari', is a Balinese dance teacher.
She offered to teach me the dance for free but I am not sure could be able to cope with the movement.
To have the legs half-bent all the times with the torso shifted to one side with the elbow raised & lowered - and shifted symmetry with the arms...
Hhmmm, I don't think so...

Great image, I've always like that whole exotic dancer thing.

Hello susano,
I always enjoy watching the dance, the energic movement and expression are coordinate with the gamelan music.
Nice having you around...
Hi r1ooooo,
Do I limit it? I'll check later, thanks for the info...
Hi Kim,
Thank you, actually balinese dancer doesn't smile... :-)
HI Leet,
You have captured the form and grace of the Balinese dancer very well. Great execution!
The Indian and Thai dances are also quite exotic, same with the dances of the tribes in the Southern Philippines - very colorful, fast, and fat reducing too for its difficult movements to perform.
It can be done by the untrained after a couple of beers perhaps? LOL! :-) --Durano, done!
Hi Durano,
I basically love traditional dances...
...and LOL... :-) you right about dancing under influence...
